Jonny Brock was a college friend of Douglas Adams, who was the author of the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He lived at 29 Arlington Avenue while Adams was also living there. The first book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, is dedicated to Jonny Brock, along with "Clare Gorst and all the other Arlingtonians". Brockian Ultra-Cricket is named after Jonny Brock. He read a tribute at the memorial service to Douglas Adams, after Adams' death in 2001[1]
