Elvis Presley is discovered by Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent singing in a bar called The Domain of The King on an arid alien planet. Elvis owns a pink spaceship, also covered with chrome, with the initials 'EP' on it. He informs Ford that, despite popular rumour, he was not abducted by aliens — he went with them willingly.

Elvis briefly appears in the Douglas Adams book Mostly Harmless.  He appears (but is not directly named) in Fit the Twenty-Sixth of the radio series, voiced by Philip Pope.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • This character is based on the real life singer Elvis Presley.
  • Ford Prefect's irreplaceable blue suede shoes, one of which is destroyed during the events in the early part of the novel Mostly Harmless, are a tribute to his Elvis fandom.
