The Damogran Frond Crested Eagle is an animal that inhabits Damogran, a planet covered almost entirely by ocean except for a few small islands where Zaphod Beeblebrox steals the starship Heart of Gold. A Damogran Frond Crested Eagle incorporated the first two pages of Zaphod Beeblebrox's speech into its nest, which it built out of paper mâché, and "was virtually impossible for a newly hatched baby eagle to break out of." Apparently the Eagle had heard of survival of the species and wanted nothing to do with it.
